Overview
TouchTunes was an innovative start-up with a passion to reinvent the commercial jukebox business. In order to do that he assembled a talented group of technologists and business professionals to change music history. The technology to accomplish this included building a high quality kiosk (front-end), network infrastructure, back-end database, and music rights management system. Later in the product lifecycle, a mobile app was introduced and TouchTunes was second only to Apple® in number of downloaded songs. To capitalize the business, Tony and team raised over $100M through both venture and private equity sources. The company became the world's largest and most successful jukebox network and remains the leader in this market today. The company was sold in 2015 to private equity.
