Whilst Student, Joey McConnel, was able to develop his university project component into a manufactured piece, the Design Council used Miproto to design and 3D print 200 awards for the designers involved in the London 2012 Olympics. At the same time, top secret medical devices where being prototyped in the London 3D printers. These were being designed over night by a selection of client chosen freelance engineers, based in America and Asia.
