Albert J. Baciocc

Vice Admiral (Ret) Albert J. Baciocco, Jr., U.S. Navy (Ret) has been President of the Baciocco Group Inc. since 1987. Vice Admiral. Baciocco retired from the U.S. Navy in 1987 after 34 years of distinguished service, principally within the nuclear submarine force and directing the Department of the Navy research and technology development enterprise, where he served as Chief of Naval Research from 1978 to 1981, and as Director of Research, Development and Acquisition, the senior military Research, Development and Acquisition policy official in the Department of the Navy from 1983 to 1987. He serves as Member of Board of Advisors at iCache Incorporated. He serves as a Non-Executive Director of Clipper Windpower Plc. Vice Admiral. Baciocco serves as Director of Advanced Technology Institute, Corp. and serves as its Member of Advisory Board. He serves as a Member of the Naval Studies Board of the National Research Council and serves on several boards and committees of Government, Industry And Academe. He serves at Honeywell, Inc. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Federal-Mogul Corp. until February 25, 2008. He served as Director of American Superconductor Corporation from April 1997 to August 3, 2007. During the past 17 years, he has served as a Director of several public corporations and serves as a director of several private companies. Vice Admiral. Baciocco serves as a Trustee of the South Carolina Research Authority and a Director of the Foundation for Research Development of the Medical University of South Carolina. A member of Tau Beta Pi, Vice Admiral Baciocco is the recipient of Honorary Doctorate degrees from Florida Atlantic University and the Medical University of South Carolina. He is a Regent and Senior Fellow of the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies, Arlington, Virginia, and has been designated a lifetime National Associate of the National Academies by the Council of the United States National Academies of Sciences. Vice Admiral Baciocco graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, and subsequently completed graduate level studies in nuclear engineering as part of his training for the naval nuclear propulsion program.
