Aljoscha Kaplan

Aljoscha Kaplan is a business developer, entrepreneur and analyst who is passionate about innovation, analytics, and design thinking. He is Managing Director at GMPVC German Media Pool, a company that invests in high growth consumer businesses using an innovative media for equity barter model.

Next to his primary role as VC, Aljoscha works with GMPVC's partner Antscom to help it's portfolio companies define strategic success metrics, to track the performance of media allocations and to adjust media based on in-depth analyses.

As Entrepreneur in Residence at M10-Partners, an investor partnership, Aljoscha evaluated investment opportunities and potential deals, assisted with contractual negotiations, and performed analytical consulting for portfolio companies.

As Business Developer at mayato, a specialized business analytics and business intelligence consultancy, Aljoscha was responsible for strategic development, sales and marketing for both new and existing consulting solutions. Aljoscha also worked as Senior Analyst and Consultant for Ernst & Young in Washington D.C. and Stuttgart, as a researcher on e-Business trends in Europe for the German Economic Research Institute, and in an advisory function for several startups.

In addition to his role at German Media Pool, Aljoscha actively supports an innovation incubator project on the future of video based social media at Leuphana University Lueneburg.

Aljoscha holds a M.S. in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt-University Berlin and a B.S. in Economics and Statistics from The George Washington University.
