Andy is the co-founder and CEO at Automat. He’s been working on conversational software for over 16 years starting his career at Nuance commercializing some of the first phone based speech recognition systems. He later led the team that created the first enterprise mobile voice assistant, a “Siri for companies” that was deployed at Dominos, Fedex, USAA, Geico and other leading brands. Prior to leaving Nuance, he ran AI innovation for Nuance’s $350M Enterprise Division where he consulted with companies all over the world about their AI strategy. He has a Bachelor of Computer Science from his hometown of Winnipeg and has a bad case of MBA and PhD envy that he overcompensates for with a swoopy hairdo.
