Antonio Cruz

As founding partner and president of Aurus Gestión de Inversiones, Mr. Cruz is responsible for the Financial Markets Division. Previously, Mr. Cruz was one of the founding partners of Moneda Asset Management S.A, where he held the position of Comptroller and general manager between 1993 and 2007.

From 1988 and 1993, Mr. Cruz was general manager of Investment Management Company Chile S.A. (IMCO) – a Company created by Midland Bank Plc., currently HSBC, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). IMCO administered two investment funds structured under a debt conversion scheme established by the Central Bank of Chile in the mid-80s. From 1985-1987, Mr. Cruz was project manager at Inverchile S.A. contributing to the design and development of investments for the conversion of external debt into capital.

Mr. Cruz has been a board member of several companies and has participated in the creation of the Asociación Chilena de Administradoras de Fondos de Inversión A.G. (ACAFI), an institution at which he held its first presidency.

Antonio Cruz Zabala holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and has an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad Católica de Chile.
