Armando Gomez

Armando Gomez is a partner at Skadden Arps, where he concentrates his practice on a broad range of tax matters, advising clients on the structuring and financing of U.S. and international partnerships, joint ventures and other cross-border transactions.

Gomez represents clients in federal and state tax controversy matters, and also represents clients in administrative and policy matters before the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service.

He previously served as an attorney-advisor to the IRS and as chief counsel to the National Commission on Restructuring the Internal Revenue Service. He was also an officer of the American Bar Association’s Section of Taxation, and presently serves as a member of the National Conference of Lawyers and Certified Public Accountants.

He earned a J.D. and LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, and holds an A.B. from Duke University.
