Moopen a Gold Medalist in MBBS and a Post Graduate in General Medicine from Calicut Government Medical College in Kerala, and a Diploma holder in Chest Diseases from Delhi University, India.

He started his career 3 decades back as a Medical Lecturer at the Calicut Government Medical College in 1982, before relocating to Dubai in 1987, where he went on to establish successful medical practice.
