Bala Iyer

Bala Iyer, as CIO at Medusind is responsible for and heads Software Development and IT infrastructure. Bala brings with him over 25 years of experience in Software Product development and IT infrastructure in Aerospace, Telecom and Healthcare industries. At Spar Aerospace, he was responsible for Controls and Software for the Space Station Freedom program by NASA. While at Nortel Networks, he provided leadership and direction in wireless and wireline switching. In the healthcare arena, he worked for Allscripts and McKesson in Software Product Development (Practice Management, Electronic Health Records and Care Coordination products). Bala worked in the US, Canada and New Zealand and holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from The University of Victoria.
