Dr. Azamian is a life sciences entrepreneur with a mission to transform the lives of patients with common and poorly treated diseases. He has co-founded and led three companies discovering, developing and commercializing first-in-class therapeutics that target underlying causes and aim to have a substantial impact in human health.

Dr. Azamian serves as CEO of Tarsus Pharmaceuticals. He also serves as a Board Director of Vibrato Medical and the nonprofit Octane. Previously, he was CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Metavention.

Dr. Azamian began his biotechnology career as an investor and entrepreneur with Versant Ventures and Third Rock Ventures. Prior to that he completed residency in internal medicine and was an attending hospitalist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received an MD from Harvard Medical School (Harvard-MIT Heath Sciences and Technology), a PhD in Chemistry from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar and a BA in Physics from Rice University.
