Dan Hynes

Dan is a Partner and Head of Talent at Atomico, based in London. Passionate about people and building teams, he brings his extensive global experience in technology talent and staffing to help portfolio companies find, grow and keep the best employees in their respective fields – a key factor in the success of any fast-growing business. He is currently on the board of OnTruck, the Madrid-based logistics and transport company.

Dan has helped gamechanging companies including 6Wunderkinder, Omio, Gympass, Klarna, Lilium, MessageBird, Supercell, Truecaller and Varjo strengthen their leadership teams, build recruitment processes, build manager effectiveness programmes, design compensation programmes and create internal communications plans.

Prior to joining Atomico, Dan was responsible for talent and staffing at some of the world’s best-known technology companies including Google, Cisco and Skype. At Google, he grew the EMEA team from 60 based in London to 8500 across Europe by 2010, and at Skype he led the Talent team that scaled from 600 to 2300 in three years.

Dan is a modest guy so you would never know that he is a Guinness World Record holder for the world’s largest syrtaki dance in Rhodes 2008.
