David Rodriguez

David is Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Draft Ventures, an internet technology seed fund that invests in early stage companies. Some notable investments include Thrive Market, Shyp, Revfluence, FabFitFun, and Overnight. David is also Director, Business Development and Strategy at Adobe since Adobe acquired Livefyre in May 2016. David was Chief Operating Officer at Livefyre, a leading SaaS company that provides social marketing software to media companies and brands.

David was previously on the investment team at Greycroft Partners, where he focused on evaluating investment opportunities, sourcing new deals, and working with portfolio companies in the internet and digital media sectors. Prior to Greycroft, David worked at Marakon, a boutique strategy consultancy, advising companies in the technology, digital media, and retail industries on a broad set of strategic challenges, including organic and acquisitive growth strategy, portfolio management, and new product/offer Development. David’s background is in engineering, and he has held positions at Medtronic and IBM where he designed and programed microprocessors.

David also has a passion for economic development, and has lived in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Mozambique working on development related projects for several nonprofits, including Engineering World Health and TechnoServe. In addition, David founded an e-commerce company that promotes and sells artwork sourced from developing countries providing emerging artists access to global markets.

David graduated magna cum laude and with distinction from Duke University with a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
