David Vieau

David joins VantagePoint from his most recent position as President and Chief Executive Officer of A123 Systems, a pioneering company in the design and manufacturing of high-power lithium ion batteries for use in everything from electric vehicles to electric grid services and portable devices. He has more than thirty years of experience and leadership in developing rapid-growth technology and component businesses. Prior to A123, David held corporate officer positions at American Power Conversion (APC), serving as VP of Marketing and VP of Worldwide Business Development.During his nine years at APC, he helped grow company revenues from $50 million to $1.5 billion, which established APC as the world’s leader in power protection for IT markets. David graduated from Syracuse University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical engineering.
