Dhiren Fonseca

Dhiren Fonseca is the Chief Commercial Officer of Expedia, Inc., the world's largest online travel company. In this role, Fonseca is responsible for building and managing corporate-level supply and commercial relationships between each of the businesses within the Expedia, Inc. portfolio and some of the travel industry's most notable supplier brands. He also acts as a principle advisor to the Chairman and CEO on the strategic initiatives of Expedia, Inc. and its portfolio of travel brands.

Previously, Fonseca served as the co-President of Expedia's global supply organization, where he led the company's global supply strategy and the team responsible for managing the company's relationships with nearly 150,000 hotels, hundreds of airlines and thousands of other travel suppliers worldwide. Prior to assuming this role in 2009, Fonseca served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, focusing on corporate strategy and worldwide mergers and acquisitions. During his corporate development tenure, he led the acquisition and integration of 15 companies by Expedia, and drove the company's long-term corporate strategy.

Prior to Expedia, Fonseca was a longtime Microsoft employee, helping found Expedia.com as part of the management team at Microsoft that brought the company to life in 1995.
