Dominique Valla

Dominique Valla, has been the head of the Liver Unit at Hôpital Beaujon, Université Paris Diderot since 2000. He trained in hepatology at Hôpital Saint Luc, Montreal, Canada, in André Viallet’s group, and at Hôpital Beaujon, Clichy, in Jean-Pierre Benhamou’s group. He has been a full professor of hepatology since 1991. He has been founder and coordinator of the national reference centre for vascular disorders of the liver since 2005, and of UNITY, the reference centre for digestive diseases at Hôpitaux Universitaires Paris-Nord Val-de-Seine since 2013. He has contributed to the fields of viral hepatitis, portal hypertension, complications of cirrhosis and vascular liver diseases.
