Douglas Satzger

Doug Satzger is a Chief Design Officer at Atom Limbs. He was the vice president of the Mobile and Communications Group and general manager of Industrial Design at Intel Corporation.

Satzger joined Intel in February 2012 from HP/Palm, where he was the senior director of industrial design with the responsibility of building and leading the team that provided the design direction for all smartphones, tablets, accessories and packaging.

Prior to joining HP, Satzger joined Apple in 1996 as an industrial design product line lead to design and manage Apple's line of imaging products. Through his tenure at Apple, his interest in materials and knowledge of manufacturing processes helped as he led the ID Creative team for product color, materials and finishes. As a key member of the design team he managed and directed all creative aspect of color materials and finishes for product from the first iMac to the latest iPhone, iPods, iPad and MacBooks.

Satzger started his career at IDEO Product Development, where he was industrial design studio lead and built the industrial design team at the Evanston, Ill. office.
