Eric Meldrum

Eric joined Genkyotex in 2012 as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) with over 18 years of experience working in large pharmaceutical companies and biotech, specializing in discovery and preclinical drug development.

Prior to Genkyotex, Eric acted as a drug discovery consultant in the formation of three spin-out companies. Between 2007-2010, Eric was CSO of 3-V Biosciences. In this role, he was responsible for establishing and project managing the scientific development of the company, including establishing a pipeline of molecules against respiratory viral infections.

Before 3-V, Eric held various roles at GlaxoSmithKline from 1993 to 2005 culminating in the role of Director, Asthma and Rhinitis Disease Biology Department.

Eric earned his PhD at Cancer Research UK and his BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow (UK).
