Giulio Cesareo

Giulio Cesareo co-founded Directa Plus and serves as CEO. Prior to founding the company in 2005, he spent 18 years in the carbon and graphite industry with companies such as Union Carbide, UCAR and Graftech, managing business units and living in six locations in the USA, France and Italy.

Among his roles, he served as President and CEO of Graftech and Vice President and General Manager of Union Carbide’s Advanced Carbon and Graphite business unit. He began his career in 1982 working for Falck and Techint in Italy.

Born in Milan in 1955, Giulio Cesareo holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan, an MBA and an Executive MBA from Bocconi University of Milan and attended Strategic and Financial Management Programs at Stanford University (USA).

He serves as a board member of Fondazione Quarta, a non-profit organisation focused on scientific research in areas of social activity.
