Hans Jung

Mr. Hans Jung is a Executive Managing Partner at STIC, with over ten years of experience in various fields of finance, particularly in secondary transactions. Since his promotion to Managing Partner in 2007, Mr. Jung has led STIC’s Special Situations Division, which manages STIC Secondary Fund I, STIC Secondary Fund II and STIC Pan-Asia Technology Fund. Mr. Jung also serves as a member of STIC’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining STIC, he worked at IMM Investment Corp. in Korea, where he was responsible for establishing a joint venture with Cambridge Capital Partners in Chicago and Hana Bank in Seoul. Prior to that, Mr. Jung was a Global Private Investment Manager at Samsung Life Insurance, where he led the investment of over US$130 million in seven private equity funds, including investments in two global secondary funds of funds. Mr. Jung also previously worked for the Venture Group of Samsung Electronics and spent six years with SKC Limited as a research engineer. Mr. Jung was a member of the task force that established the Indirect Investment Asset Management Business Act with the Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance in 2004, which was designed to promote the local private equity industry and allowed for the establishment of Korean private equity fund vehicles. He was awarded the Minister of Economy and Finance Award in 2004 for his contributions to the development of the Korean private equity market.
