Harley Bernstein

Harley Bernstein is a leader in developing a broad range of financial strategies for small and mid-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations and government contractors. Currently, he serves as the US Government Accounting Manager for Derco Aerospace, Inc. with primary focus on government compliance and business systems. Mr. Bernstein also serves on the Board of Trustees of Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. He has over 20 years of executive leadership and industry experience, and served as CFO to Zimmerman Associates, Inc. and prior at TLA Associates, Inc. Each of these companies specialized in IT and Data Management services. As a Founder and President of Excel Group, Mr. Bernstein led business development, by closing of over 200 commercial accounts and achieving #205 on the INC 500 list of fastest growing companies. He served as Director of Corporate Operations for Temps & Company, a division of Randstad, and earlier in his career was a Financial Analyst at The Reznick Group (CohnReznick), and General Electric Medical Systems. He is a limited partner of Fortify VC, a venture capital firm, and sits on several advisory boards. Mr. Bernstein holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Boston University, was the business school’s valedictorian, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Virginia.
