Henrik Werdelin

Henrik Werdelin is the Founder of BARK, America’s fasted growing pet company as well as Managing Partner of Prehype, a venture development firm headquartered in New York with offices in Copenhagen and London. He attended Aalborg University and the University of Westminster.

Prehype co-create new ventures and incubation programs with VCs and corporations ranging from NewsCorp over Danone to GE and Mondelez – as well as launching successful venture-backed startups like BarkBox, AndCo, Roman and ManagedByQ.

Henrik has for the past 15 years been involved in a range of successful startups and corporate incubations as either founder, investor or advisor; including HotPotato (now by Facebook), GoTryItOn (now Rent the Runway), NewSmart (incubated with NewsCorp), ReadMill (now DropBox), Betabox (incubated with Mondelez) and Sunrise (now Microsoft). Prior Werdelin was the Entrepreneur in Residence with Index Ventures and running product development for MTV International where he spearheaded the development of many of MTV’s award-winning innovative digital products. He is a frequent speaker at top-tier business schools and industry forums and has been quoted in numerous publications and media outlets on subjects such as corporate innovation, product design and entrepreneurship.

He is Danish but lives in the US, where he was named amongst the Top 100 most Creative by Fast Company and Silicon Alley Insider’s ‘100 People in Tech’.
