Hunt Bowers

As Director of Engineering for EarthOptics, Hunt Bowers brings a passion for solving complex technical challenges combined with more than 7 years of experience working with startup companies in North Carolina.

Hunt holds a BS in aerospace engineering and computer science from North Carolina State University (summa cum laude), as well as a BS in biology from UNC Chapel Hill and an MS in biophysics and physiology from Georgetown University.

Hunt’s diverse background in life science, engineering, computer programming and entrepreneurship gives him a broad perspective from which to approach problem solving. As Director of Flight Operation for Triangle UAS, Hunt co-invented a process to perform high-accuracy inspections of cell tower structural mounts with drones. He also gained valuable experience in the agricultural space and built a large network of operators in NC state and local government, as well as the NC entrepreneurial community.
