James Fong

James Fong has been the CEO of Oriental Dreamworks. James joined Amazon in 2012 and is responsible for leading its Merchant Services and Advertising businesses, including “Selling on Amazon”, “Fulfillment by Amazon”, “Global Selling” and “Advertise on Amazon”.

Prior to joining Amazon, James was a Managing Director of China Tongyin, a boutique merchant bank in Greater China, responsible for its TMT practice; a Managing Director of Strategic Investments at NBA China, responsible for its arena, internet and league investments and business development efforts; a General Manager at Microsoft China, responsible for sales and marketing for 17 provinces and 32 cities; and the Managing Director of Microsoft’s $165 million China equity investment fund.

James holds an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
