Javier Godó Muntañola

Javier Godó Muntañola was appointed to the Board of Directors of CaixaBank in 2005.

He is Second Vice-Chairman of “la Caixa”, board member of VidaCaixa Grupo and serves on the Board of Trustees of “la Caixa” Foundation.

Javier Godó, Conde de Godó, belongs to a family traditionally linked with the newspaper industry. Born in Barcelona in 1941, he holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona.

He is currently Editor of “La Vanguardia”, Chairman of Grupo Godó de Comunicación, Chairman of Catalunya Comunicació, Vice-Chairman of Unión Radio and Vice-Chairman of the “Sociedad Española de Radiodifusión” (SER).

He is also Vice-Chairman of the Conde de Barcelona Foundation, Vice-Chairman of the Sociedad Económica Barcelonesa de Amigos del País (SEBAP), Vice-Chairman of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA), a board member of the Museum of Modern Art of New York (MoMA), serves on the Board of Trustees of the Ramon Llull University and is a member of the Telefónica de España, SAU International Advisory Board.
