Jeremy Rowley

Jeremy Rowley serves as associate general counsel for DigiCert, Inc. In his role, Mr. Rowley represents DigiCert’s interests in advancing internet security standards and best practices through involvement in such groups as IETF, Mozilla Forum, NIST, CA/Browser Forum, ICANN, ITU, and the CA Security Council. Rowley was an active participant in drafting the CA/Browser Forum’s EV Guidelines, Baseline Requirements, and Network Security Guidelines.

Rowley also negotiates contracts and licensing agreements and files DigiCert’s patents and trademarks. Prior to joining DigiCert, he worked as corporate counsel for another large Certificate Authority, helped build programs to achieve efficiencies within law firms, and served as chief software architect for a database software program that is used by major chemical companies around the world. Rowley earned a JD from Brigham Young University as well as MS and BS of chemical engineering at the same institution. He is a member of the Utah Bar and is secretary of the Utah Bar Association’s cyberlaw division.
