Jodi Shelton

Jodi Shelton combined her business and communications expertise to launch Shelton Group, an integrated communications firm providing customized programs for public relations and investor relations.

Shelton began her career at Cyrix Corporation, a company founded by her husband, Jerry Rogers. Shelton became part of a three-person executive team that led the company’s IPO. Her positioning of Cyrix to the industry and the media as a formidable competitor to Intel Corporation resulted in hundreds of articles, including feature stories in Forbes and BusinessWeek. Shelton opened a Jitrois shop in NY, but the venture shuttered in about a year.

Shelton has grown her agency to one of the most recognized communications firms in the southwest. Shelton Group has previously been recognized among the Dallas Business Journal’s ‘Top 25 PR Agencies in the Metroplex’ and was once ranked in the top third of PR Week’s ‘Top PR Agency Rankings’.

Shelton is a speaker at industry events and has authored articles for industry and business publications. Several media have featured her, including Electronic News, Dallas Business Journal, PR Week, PR Tactics, Exclusively Dallas, WFAA-TV’s High Tech Texas, Texas Technology, Texas Woman, among others.

Shelton is also active within the community, serving as a board member of various organizations and a contributor of time, resources and capital for numerous charitable and civic projects, including Girls Inc., Jonathan’s Place and Habitat for Humanity.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from San Diego State and her master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Houston.
