Joe Gutman

Joe Gutman joined Grosvenor Capital Management in 2005 and is Head of the Business Development Group and a member of the executive team at Grosvenor.

Prior to joining Grosvenor, Mr. Gutman was associated with Goldman Sachs in various capacities from 1981 through 2003. From 1996 through 2002, Mr. Gutman was a Partner of Goldman Sachs, and from 1998 to 2002 a Managing Director. Mr. Gutman was Co-Head of Goldman Sachs’ Chicago office.

Prior to that time Mr. Gutman was also head of Goldman Sachs’ Institutional Equities business in the Midwest and shared responsibility on the leadership team of the firm’s U.S. Shares Business. From 1979 to 1980, he worked at Coopers & Lybrand, now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

Mr. Gutman received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 1981.

Mr. Gutman is a member of the Board of Overseers at the University of Illinois College of Business M.B.A. program; a member of the Illinois Executive Board of AIPAC; a member of the Board of Directors of Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago; a member of the Board of Directors of the Birthright Israel Foundation; and a member of the Board of Directors of the Make a Better Place Foundation. Mr. Gutman was recently appointed to the Council for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
