Joey Kim

Joey Kim is the Founder and CEO of the marketplace lending platform PeopleFund; Korea’s first and only marketplace lending platform fully integrated with a commercial bank. PeopleFund was approved for business in June 2016 by the Korean Governemnt’s Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) as the first marketplace lending company to integrate and operate with a Bank. Prior to founding PeopleFund, Joey has started his career in Corporate Finance team at Macquarie Securities' Investment Banking Division. After his experience in banking, Joey spent 5 years in management consulting at Bain & Company conducting multiple corporate M&A, vision & portfolio strategy, and operation reengineering projects, in both Seoul and Boston office. Subsequently, he joined Softbank Ventures as a Venture Capitalist to discover, invest, and manage numerous startups at various stages focusing on the internet/mobile industry. Following his career at Softbank Ventures he founded PeopleFund Company in 2015.
