John Botts

John Chester Botts is an Operating Partner of Corsair, based in London. He is also a Senior Advisor to Allen & Company Advisors LLP. Previously, he was the Chief Executive of Citicorp’s Investment Bank in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and he also served as Chairman of CVC’s Investment Committee in Europe. Mr. Botts is a director of MPC Capital AG and Union Bank of Nigeria. He is a Non-Executive director of Euromoney Institutional Investor plc and Songbird Estates plc. He previously served as Chairman of UBM plc as well as Chairman of LongAcre Partners, a U.K. based investment bank and a former Corsair portfolio company, until its sale to Jefferies & Company. Mr. Botts is a Trustee of the Tate Foundation and Chairman of the Glyndebourne Arts Trust and previously served as Governor of The University of the Arts and Trustee of the National Theatre Foundation. In 2003, he was presented with an Honorary CBE.
