John Cooper

John Cooper is Vice President of Commercial Transactions at Invenergy and is responsible for managing structured natural gas and power sales transactions for the company’s thermal power business. Invenergy has more than 5,500 MW of natural gas projects in its operating North American and international fleet and is constructing the 600-MW Los Ramones peaker plant east of Monterey, Mexico. John brings more than 20 years’ experience in power and gas to his role negotiating long-term structured transactions for natural gas power generation facilities and structured credit solutions at Invenergy. John has a JD from The University of Tulsa College of Law. He led the LNG supply agreement and supported related transaction structuring for Energia del Pacifico (EDP), the 355-MW LNG-to-power development that will supply more 30% of the El Salvador’s power demand.
