Judith Onton

Growing up in the Silicon Valley, Judith wanted to help the Semiconductor industry shape history. She innately understood that successful businesses require organized, developed, and rewarded employees. Judith came to Cortina to build the human resource department from the ground up since the management team shared and supported her belief people make the business.

Judith joined Cortina in 2007 as Vice President of Human Resources to help integrate its largest acquisition, the Intel Optical Networking Division. Judith built an international HR team as Cortina doubled in headcount and added offices all over the world. Judith truly believes in the Cortina tagline 'Linking People Globally.' Cortina provides the technology to enable communication and awareness that raise the social economic level across all parts of the world.

With over 20 years in human resources experience Judith has worked with a variety of technology companies as either an employee or consultant. She understands the dynamic nature of the market and realizes success is all about the people. Judith was the Director of Human Resources for Manage.Com, and provided all aspects of HR management for this ecommerce software start-up company of 60 employees.

Prior to that, she was the Human Resources Manager for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) where she provided senior-level HR leadership within all the AMD Product Lines and was widely recognized for her work in excellent staffing practices and employee retention.

Judith received the President's Spotlight Award for her contribution to the Time-to-Market Program for the Communications Products Group.

Judith earned a bachelor degree and a Master of Arts in Administration and Higher Education from San Jose State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
