Judy Lewent

Judy served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Merck & Co., Inc. until September 2007. She also served as Chief Financial Officer starting in 1990 and held various other financial and management positions after joining Merck in 1980. Judy is also a director of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and Motorola Solutions Inc. She served on the Boards of Motorola Inc. from 1995 until May 2010 and Dell Inc. from 2001 to 2011. She previously served on the Board of Quaker Oats Company.

Since 2009, Judy has served on the Boards of Purdue Pharma Inc., Napp Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited and certain Mundipharma International Limited companies as a Non-Executive Director. She is also a Trustee and the Chairperson of the Audit Committee of the Rockefeller Family Trust, a life member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Corporation and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

In accordance with the UK Corporate Governance Code, the Board has determined that Judy has recent and relevant financial experience. The Board has also agreed that she has the appropriate qualifications and background to be an audit committee financial expert as defined by the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
