Julian Morris is Emeritus Professor of Process Control at Newcastle University and Visiting Professor in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde. He was head of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering from 1990 to 1995, the first head of the School ofChemical Engineering and Advanced Materials and has spent some time as Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Alberta in Canada. He has authored/co-authored over 200 articles inscientific journals, conferences and books, given over 100 invited lectures, and 50 Plenary and Keynote presentations. In 2003 he was elected to Fellow of Britain’s Royal Academy of Engineering and in 2015readers of the Medicine Maker voted Julian Morris one of the most influential people in the world workingin pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
