Julie Stansbury

Julie Stansbury is the chief information officer (CIO) for GE Capital, responsible for driving the information technology (IT) strategy and leading the overall day-to-day operations of IT functions globally. Her entire 32-year career has been with GE in a variety of roles and businesses. Previously at GE Capital, Julie served as CIO for Commercial Lending and Leasing, North America. Prior to this, she led the IT strategy for Treasury and was CIO for Retail Finance, the consumer private label credit card, bankcard and installment lending business. Julie held a variety of IT leadership roles for sales, purchasing, quality, manufacturing and marketing at GE Appliances and as CIO for GE Lighting. At GE Power Systems, Julie helped lead the energy service provider’s e-Business initiatives and steer the development of new business processes and infrastructure. She began her career as a project leader, systems analyst and programmer in the IT department at GE Aircraft Engines. Julie graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Analysis.
