Kara Chanasyk

Kara Chanasyk is the Adjunct Professor of Design Thinking at University of Oregon Graduate School. She is a seasoned user experience designer with ten years of experience in interactive media. She designs compelling user interaction for web and mobile platforms for a variety of industries. She has a passion for creating innovative solutions that promote healthy behavior change, with a focus on treating anxiety and depression.

Kara’s work is a unique blend of creative design, project leadership and entrepreneurship. Kara is also a User Experience Design and Researcher for Stanford University’s Persuasive Technology Lab, where Kara designs novel, web and mobile based interventions for health behavior change.

As the Founder of White Lotus Design, an interactive design studio, Kara led the vision and implementation of web and mobile solutions for clients such as Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, American Heart Association, Institute for the Future, and other non-profits and businesses large and small.

Kara holds a B.Sc. in Molecular/Cellular Biology from the University of Connecticut-Storrs.
