Katia Lock

Katia is the Senior Director of Risk & Compliance for GE Digital. In this role, she is responsible for the IT assurance programs and IT control initiatives to enable SOX, SOC 2, FISMA, DFARS, DCCA, and export and privacy controls compliance across several GE businesses. She also manages the relationship with external and internal audits. Katia has more than 20 years of experience in IT Security, IT Audit, and IT Risk & Compliance. Previously, she was the director of IT Security, Risk & Compliance for GE Capital, where she led the security program for GE Capital's $200B portfolio repositioning across 60 Capital divestitures. Prior to this, she was GE Capital's Information Security Team Leader, managing IT security initiatives, IAM compliance and security awareness programs. In earlier roles, Katia was an IT Control Initiatives Program Manager and held a Corporate Controller position where she managed IT projects, audits, SOX control testing, IT governance and regulatory compliance for the GE Corporate and IT risk organizations. Prior to GE, Katia worked at RR Donnelley & Sons where she held roles of increasing responsibility in security and audit. Katia holds a master’s degree in business administration and information systems, as well as a bachelor’s in industrial engineering. She also holds several IT certifications, including CISA, Information Engineering, and Software Engineering. Katia actively supports the community, and has been the GE Hispanic Community Service Leader for Chicago as well as the Partnership Leader between GE Capital and Year Up Chicago.
