Ken Cheng

As Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Corporate Development and Emerging Business, Ken Cheng leads Brocade’s technology strategy, software networking solutions, key business initiatives, M&A and investment portfolio as it focuses on the evolving data center infrastructure within enterprises, cloud service providers and Federal markets.

Previously at Brocade, Cheng served as Vice President, Routing, Application Delivery and Software Networking Group since 2010.

In this role, he drove the overall vision, strategy and execution of the Brocade advanced routing, application delivery and software networking business.

Cheng joined Brocade in 2008 through the company’s acquisition of Foundry Networks where he held various executive management positions during his 12-year tenure.

Prior to Foundry, Cheng served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Engineering for DG Systems (now DG FastChannel), a content distribution network company that operates the largest network designed specifically for media distribution.

Cheng also held senior engineering management positions at Network Equipment Technologies (NET) and Bell Northern Research (later Nortel Labs).

Cheng has a BS in Applied Mathematics from Queen's University (Canada), an MBA from Santa Clara University, and a Certificate in Music from the Royal Academy of Music (England).
