Having grown up on US military bases and having lived overseas, I learned about vast cultural differences, especially in the real estate business. After returning to Japan in 2003, I supported over 2,500 upper class foreigners with finding housing. These people previously constantly had their applications rejected. So, having developed a strong relationship with the foreign community in Tokyo, I decided to found AtHearth to revolutionize the Japanese real estate industry.
