Krystin Mitchell

Krystin Mitchell is Senior Vice President of Human Resources for 7-Eleven, Inc. She is responsible for leading the HR function learning, development and staffing, compensation, benefits, HR systems, and corporate human resources teams. 7-Eleven, Inc., the premier name and largest chain in the convenience retailing industry, operates, franchises or licenses more than 9,400 7-Eleven® stores in North America and 48,000 stores world-wide. During 2011, 7-Eleven stores worldwide generated total sales close to $76.6 billion.

Before joining 7-Eleven, Mitchell was with FedEx Office as Vice President of Learning and Development and an officer of the company. She has also worked for Home Depot Inc., as Director of the Leadership Institute. In this role, Mitchell developed leadership curricula for every level within the organization including executive leadership programs.

Her background also includes several years with Yum! Brands in the Pizza Hut and KFC divisions. At Yum!, Mitchell was Manager of Leadership and Organization Development in Louisville, Ky. and was later promoted to Director of People Development in Dallas. She created and implemented a number of leadership and development programs which ultimately helped the company retain high potential talent.

In addition to her work with major companies, Mitchell has served as a training consultant for the Regents College of New York, the United States Air Force and worked as an instructor at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Her education includes a bachelor's degree from the University of Montana, and a doctorate from the University at Albany in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
