Bio
Laurent Nordin co-founded capital D after 22 years with McKinsey&Company. He started with the Paris office in 1995, became a Partner in 2001 and moved to Dubai to co-lead and grow the Middle-East office (now 450 consultants with 5 locations). A serial entrepreneur, he started and led successively multiple sectorial and functional practices including Financial Institutions, Energy, Metals and Mining, Private Equity/ Principal Investing and Family-Owned Businesses. Laurent was elected a Director in 2008. Throughout his career with McKinsey, he shaped and led multi-year transformation of several leading companies in Europe and the Middle-East. He was member of several Firm Committees, including Partners’ Evaluation and Client Impact and Experience, and created the GCC Board Directors Institute.
For the last decade, outside McKinsey, he has been an active investor and board member in several start-ups and growth ventures.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Laurent was a turnkey project manager at Alcatel-Alsthom in France, Greece and Cyprus. He is an electrical engineer from French Grande Ecole Supelec and holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD.
