Leiping Lai

Dr. Lai brings over 27 years of experience helping to drive high tech development and manufacturing in U.S. and Chinese markets.

Prior to joining Sunpreme, Dr. Lai held various executive level positions in Shanghai Huahong NEC Electronics Company including Senior Vice President, CMO, and CTO. Before that, he was the President and CEO of an OLED technology company, Univision Technology in Taiwan. He moved back to Asia in 2002 after working 18 years in the semiconductor industry in the United States. He served as KPU director at Applied Materials’ CMP business division.He has also held various engineering management positions in several major semiconductor companies including Motorola, Samsung, and Cypress Semiconductor.

Dr. Lai graduated from Shanghai University of Science and Technology, China with a B.S. degree in Physics and received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from Arizona State University.He was also an advisory board member of SEMI China from 2003-2006.

Leiping Lai is the Co-founder and President, Sunpreme China at Sunpreme, based in United States, North America.
