As one of the most experienced experts in the credit evaluation field, Lingyun Gu has achieved outstanding accomplishments both domestically and internationally. Receiving his PhD degree in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Gu has established an impressive network of like-minded top talents.

Later, Gu joined ZestFiance as the Founding Member of modeling team, responsible for model development and team building. Specializing in machine-learning algorithms and big-data technologies, Gu transformed technological models into valuable business decisions and set the groundwork for Zest Finance credit-rating models that evaluate individuals with little to none credit history.

After leaving ZestFiance, Gu worked as the Chief Data Scientist at Kabbage in a short time base, where he focused on the development of credit evaluation aiming at small and micro businesses. He then joined Turbo Financial Group, a leading financial company that deeply roots in high tech and big data, where he served as Co-Founder, Board of Directors, and CRO. Here, Gu secured several million dollars, created customized decision engines, and provided effective big data solutions with his team.

Later, Gu became an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) and Investment Advisor at IDG-Accel/ IDG Capital Partners, responsible for fin-tech investments in Greater China and the U.S. There, he accomplished a total investment amount of 55 million dollars with his team, and the total current market value of investee companies reached 43 billion RMB, constructing the frame of technology and financial board in IDG.

Currently, Gu is the Founder and CEO of a leading Fintech company, IceKredit, Inc., specialized in credit evaluation using Artificial Intelligence technologies and machine-learning algorithms. Under his leadership, IceKredit has been named to CB Insights’ Global FinTech 250, Member of NIFA (NATIONAL INTERNET FINANCE ASSOCIATION OF CHINA), National High-tech Enterprise, KMPG’s China FinTech50, and many other valuable prizes in home and abroad. Meanwhile, Gu remains a Board Member at Turbo Financial Group, and holds a position in a public company, Beijing Sino data, Inc. (002657). Additionally, Gu is the Venture Partner of FreesFund and works as an adjunct professor in School of Computer Science at UESTC.
