Marc Shapiro

Marc Shapiro has been a Consultant to JP Morgan Chase & Co. since 2003. Shapiro served as Principal Financial Officer of JPMorgan Chase & Co. Shapiro served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Chase Bank of Texas, a wholly owned subsidiary of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., from 1989 to July 1997.

He served as Vice Chairman for Finance, Risk Management and Administration of The Chase Manhattan Corporation, New York, (bank holding company) from July 1997 to September 2003. Shapiro served as Vice Chairman of Finance, Risk Management, and Administration of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., New York, (bank holding company) since January 2001.

He serves on the boards of the Texas Medical Center Incorporated, The Menninger Clinic and BioHouston. He serves as a Trustee of Rice University. He has been the Trust Manager (Trustee) of Weingarten Realty Investors since 1985. He has been an Independent Director of The Mexico Fund Inc. since 2006. Shapiro serves as a Director of Santa Fe Energy Resources Inc.

He served as Chairman of the Greater Houston Partnership, Chairman of the Houston United Way Campaign, and founding Chairman of the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Shapiro served as the Chairman of the Board of Visitors of MD Anderson Cancer Center.

He serves on the Boards of MD Anderson Cancer Center, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, United Way of New York City, BioHouston, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation.

Shapiro holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University.
