Mario Alonso

Mario Alonso has served as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Plant Operations-ERCOT & CAISO and Supply Chain since October 2016. In the role, he is responsible for optimizing plant operations for Dynegy’s generating assets in Texas and California as well as managing the Company’s Supply Chain function. Alonso previously served as head of Strategic Planning since 2012. Alonso served as Dynegy’s Vice President and Treasurer from 2011 to 2012, Vice President-Strategic Planning from 2008 to 2011 and Managing Director-Strategic Planning from 2007 to 2008. Prior to June 2007, Alonso served in various roles within the Company’s Strategic Planning and Treasury departments beginning in 2001. Alonso earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
