Our fearless leader, Mark founded Esoko and continues to be the acting CEO. Passionate about the role technology can play to enhance lives, Mark started his first internet business in 1994, Metrobeat, which became the first true digital city guide in North America. Voted NYC's best website in 1996 it later sold to CitySearch/TicketMaster. In 1998 he returned to the UK to launch First Tuesday, a global phenomenon of over 500,000 members in 30 countries with the intent of connecting investors with entrepreneurs. In 2001, he turned his attention to West Africa, setting up BusyInternet, the largest private incubator in Accra, Ghana. In 2006, he discovered the most exciting and challenging opportunity of all - changing how information is shared within rural farming communities - and launched Esoko.
