Mark Goodwin

Mark Goodwin joined Roku in 2008 where he oversees all aspects of software engineering, mobile apps, web services and network engineering for the Roku streaming players and the Roku Streaming Stick.

Prior to Roku, Mark had been director of software engineering at ReplayTV where he lead software teams through several generations of the ReplayTV DVR. He was also technical lead for the IPTV group, researching early set-top technology for delivering content over the Internet. ReplayTV was acquired and sold to DirecTV in 2008.

As senior director at DirecTV, Mark continued to develop television technologies and was a founding member of the Advertisement Engineering Group created to identify, design and ultimately deploy technology for targeted advertising.

Before ReplayTV, Mark spent seven years at Euphonix where he lead software development for high-end digital mixing consoles used in professional music, film and post-production.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Teesside University.
