Marya Rose

Marya Rose is Vice President – Chief Administrative Officer for Cummins Inc. where she oversees seven global functions including legal, government relations, global security, corporate facilities and real estate, communications, ethics and compliance and Cummins Business Services (CBS). Marya also serves on the company’s senior leadership team.

Rose joined Cummins in 1997 as a lawyer and served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Cummins from 2001 until August 2011, when she was named CAO. As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Marya developed the Cummins legal organization from approximately 15 decentralized lawyers to a global organization of more than 60 lawyers, paralegals and other professionals spanning across India, China, Brazil and the EMEA region. In addition, she changed the way legal reported its litigation by instituting a global matter management system.

Prior to joining Cummins, Rose was an attorney with Bose McKinney & Evans in Indianapolis, assistant general counsel with the State’s largest agency (FSSA) and a senior aide to two Indiana Governors -- Evan Bayh and Frank O’Bannon.

In the community, Rose is chair of the board of directors for Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, and serves on the board of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
