Michael Chang

Michael Chang is Managing Director at Mavent Partners, a personal investment and advisory vehicle. Michael also leads Corporate Development activities for Azra Games, including raising $25M in seed funding from a16z and NFX in 2022.

Previously, Michael was SVP Corporate Development for NCSOFT West, responsible for acquisitions, investments, and third-party publishing opportunities. Prior to NCSOFT, Michael led Electronic Arts’ Corporate Development activity in F2P gaming, including the acquisitions of KlickNation (developers of Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes - over $1.5B in revenue to date), Bight Games (developers of The Simpsons: Tapped Out - over $400M in revenue to date), and ESN (developer of the Battlelog for Battlefield).

Michael has also served as an advisor / investor to several private companies, including Survios, Pixelberry Studios (acquired by Nexon), Omniata (acquired by King) and Playnomics (acquired by Unity Technologies).

Prior to his gaming work, Michael worked in venture capital and private equity at Lightspeed, TCV, and Apax Partners. He began his career in investment banking at Jefferies Broadview. Michael completed his BS and MS at Stanford.
