Nathaniel Borenstein

Nathaniel Borenstein is the chief scientist at Mimecast, a SaaS-based email management platform that enables companies to administer their business communications and data. Prior to that, he was a distinguished engineer at IBM.

In 2000, Borenstein co-founded NetPOS.com, the first internet-centric point-of-sale system. Previously, he served as a faculty member at the University of Michigan, Carnegie-Mellon University, and Grinnell College.

Borenstein holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Grinnell College, and master’s degree and PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. He resides in Greenbush, Michigan, United States.
