Ori Aphek

Ori is a business leader and electro-optics expert with a proven track record in implementing advanced technologies in the field, and taking them to commercial success.

Prior to Dronomy Ori co-founded and managed Optigo, which developed an electro-optic missile detection system now in operational use. Optigo was acquired by Elta, a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries and a global leader in the global defense industry.

Ori is a graduate of Talpiot: the Israeli Military’s elite technology program for officers designated to lead strategic R&D projects. While serving in the Air Force Ori managed the development and field-implementation of a new, stabilized camera for drones.

Ori holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University, and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. Ori is also an inventor of 7 patents, and published several academic articles.
